We have answered commonly asked questions below. Please feel free to contact us with additional questions. Thank you, Antonia
We've been raising dogs since 1995. I also have 15 years prior experience in the field, as my mother raised puppies as well.
Yes, but only to serious prospective buyers. We are grateful to those happy customers who have volunteered on our behalf to be a reference and do not want to over-burden them with casual inquiries.
We welcome visitors to our home from serious prospective buyers when we have a litter for them to consider. We ask that you have already done your breed research before setting up an appointment, rather than asking to "see if a breed is right for" you. Also we ask that people have already decided whether the timing will work for them before they visit a certain litter.
Like most breeders, we do not allow visitors in our kennel area. It is too upsetting for our breeding dogs to have strangers enter their "turf," and we cannot allow potential pathogens to be introduced to our very young puppies.
*However, if a person feels it necessary to examine a specific parent, please ask ahead of time and we can make arrangements for that to work.
Unfortunately not. It is too much excitement for our own dogs, as well as we don't want to risk introducing potentially harmful diseases into our environment.
Yes, after the introductory period. Most older dogs find they enjoy having a new companion, and puppies are very resilient and well-able to adapt.
While all efforts are made to accommodate our customers, we try to limit the amount of exposure to potentially harmful bacteria or disease that enters our environment. Due to this, our policy is to not allow visits during this time. However we do understand people are very excited to be in touch with their new family member, and we are happy to send updates at the customer's request.
So many people, when they set out to find a puppy, are looking for a "sweet little girl." For some reason, in a smaller dog, "sweet little" seems to match a female rather than a male. However, we find that either sex makes an equally good pet.
Many times people find that males are more eager to please, as well as more motivated by treats, which can make them easier to train. Females are usually more independent. However, the boys can also be more easily distracted, looking for any new opportunity to play, whereas the girls may stay more focused. Between pets, it is actually the females, rather than the males, that are more likely to exhibit dominant behavior, such as mounting or fighting over the food dish; in nature, it is the females that determine pecking order.
As far as displaying secondary sexual behavior such as marking or mounting, if you get your little boy neutered by the age of 4-6 months old, you will not usually see this.
So, as stated above, we really believe either sex makes an equally good pet. Whichever you choose, you will find that your puppy will love to run and caper when it's time to play, then simply melt in your arms when you're ready for some loving!
Each mama has one litter per year, but we have litters at all times of the year.
No, we actually see there are advantages either way. Obviously, in the summer, nobody has to freeze themselves waiting for puppy to get the job done. However, in the winter, the puppy is more likely to want to hurry up and finish so he can go back in the house, rather than take his time to smell the flowers and chase a butterfly.
* Also if you are interested, we will kitty litter train or newspaper train your puppy for you.
To reserve a puppy, you must place a deposit of $200.00 down on a specific breed and gender, if you have a preference. The deposit is non-refundable if you change your mind, but can be transferred to a different breed or litter and is good for up to one year.
Yes
Yes, we currently use Continential Airlines, which is climate controlled so your puppy is in a continuious comfortable climate at all times. Our puppies are VERY WELL SOCIALIZED and do not mind the plane. Presently, air flight will cost you an additional $285.00. This includes the flight, an approved travel crate (which you can then use for crate-training your puppy), and a veterinary health certificate. All you have to do is let us know what city you want your pup to fly into, and when, and we'll make all the arrangements for you!
We also have a delivery service available within WI and up to 200 miles for $.85 per mile one way. You only pay for the miles one way.
If you are putting down a deposit on a litter, we will accept either a personal check (however, you are not on a list until the deposit is recieved) or PayPal, which gives you the option of using a credit card. When coming to pick up your puppy from us, we ask you bring cash or pay the full amount ahead of time using PayPal. Customers that choose to use PayPal are required to pay the additional 3% fee that PayPal charges. If you would like this option, we can send you a PayPal invoice which will walk you through the process.

Yes, our puppies are vaccinated with a 5-way puppy booster, including Parvo, Distemper, Adenovirus 1 & 2, and Parainfluenza. We vaccinate every three weeks starting at 5 weeks old because there is no exact science of when a puppy has immunity, however their antibodies from their mother goes down every day. All puppies are born with worms that are dormant and wake up upon birth. We deworm our puppies every two weeks from birth on to be sure you get the healthiest puppy possible.
